This is a fantastic example of the high quality knives BlackJack was known for. The made in japan Blackjacks were made in the late 80's early 90's. Blackjack Tartan Dirk that is near mint and comes with two sheaths. One black leather and one black nylon. Both have leg ties. The dirk is 13 3/4' overall and the top side is a triangular grind with a flat center section, while the back side is concave ground and it has a Kraton like material handle. Very unique! This is a early Japanese made Blackjack that came out around 1990. Check out Tom Carey's site, he is the developer of a site dedicated to the history of Blackjack Knives: The Blackjack Info Pages Project. Blackjack started in early 1987 and the company closed its doors in August of 1997.
